Actors Theatre of Louisville

Kathryn was a 2019–20 dramaturgy & literary management apprentice, assisting with dramaturgy for Are You There?, Where the Mountain Meets the Sea and FLEX in the 44th Humana Festival, as well as The Wolves. Kathryn served as dramaturg on Louisville // Kentucky // USA and the Solo Mio series in the Professional Training Company season of new works.

After the apprentice season's early end due to COVID-19, Kathryn collaborated digital content, social curation, and PR for Actors Theatre Direct, primarily developing and producing the first season of Borrowed Wisdom, a new interview podcast hosted by executive artistic producer Robert Barry Fleming.

Ribs workshop

In December 2019, Ribs received a workshop culminating in a weekend of public readings produced by University Players, IU's undergraduate-run theater company. This followed a feverish first draft final finals week reading and a casual presentation at The New Harmony Project.

The New Harmony Project

Kathryn was a literary assistant at the 2019 Spring Conference, primarily working on Where We Stand by Donnetta Lavinia Grays, directed by Tamilla Woodard. With resident dramaturg Phaedra Scott, Kathryn also lent dramaturgical support to writers-in-residence Jennifer Barclay and Robert Schenkkan.

Indiana Daily Student

On a Christmas break whim, Kathryn pitched what would become an immensely popular, deeply polarizing weekly astrology column. Kathryn's March 2019 Mercury retrograde column broke an Indiana Daily Student pageview record, outperforming Hoosiers basketball coverage!

IU Theatre & Summer Theatre

Kathryn dramaturged Little Women for IU Summer Theatre, after three years as a dramaturg on mainstage academic productions, including the world premiere of Haus of Mirth in the At First Sight New Play Festival. Kathryn worked on Vinegar Tom, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and The Exonerated as dramaturg and variously sound designed, stage managed and performed in student productions and readings. Favorite detours inlcude playing God in a reading of Jen Silverman's Bonnets (How Ladies of Good Breeding Are Induced to Murder), and stage managing High School Coven.
